Actually called "Alpine Lake" since the lake is about 1000' below you. Don't let the Rangers see you with your planes- unload and get over the hill to the east and then set up out of sight. This is an amazing NE flying site- I've specked out combat wongs, 60" racers, etc there. Huge thermals. This spot can get quite cold when it's "on" so dress appropriately. Oh, and the Ranger drivers a tan Dodge P/U, and usually approaches the site from the South, so keep your eyes peeled. Mountain lions have been seen right at this spot as well. Please keep it under wraps.
