Durch das abfallende Elstertal bietet sich bei Nordost- bis Ostwind auf dem Modellflugplatz von vogtland-heli.de die Möglichkeit des Hangsegelns. Allerdings sollte man auf Grund des Bewuchses(Wald) eine Ausgangshöhe von 100m haben bevor man auf die Suche geht um notfalls noch die Landebahn des Modellflugplatzes wieder zu erreichen.
