Dungeness Recreation area is part federal and part county. The federal part is run by militant tree huggers who forbid activitys such as frisbee, jogging, smiling and yes even R/C gliders. The county portion is still in FA (free America) there is a trail that runs along the bluff, the dividing line between county and federal is roughly halfway between the SW tip of the bluff trail and the NE tip of the bluff trail. Just beyond the SW tip of the bluff trail is a wide open LZ on vacant private land. Word is the owners have allowed limited pedestrian access. If you have to land on the beach it is a pretty long walk for retrieval. You have to walk through the federal portion of the park to access the beach due to the steepness of the bluff. Count on it taking well over an hour round trip and be prepared to be accosted by the militant greenies when they see you walking back with your glider, just toss them some organic granola bars to gnaw on and keep walking.
