Large sand dunes create excellent lift on WSW and W winds. Spring is most consistent but there are good summer and fall days as well. In spring a typical day is 20+ mph while summer is usually 5-10 mph. The flying site is a designated \"glider port\" inside the state park. Ask for a map at the entrance kiosk -- it will show the glider port and where to park. $10 entrance fee.
