Famed for the old "Poway Combat Day" events on RC Groups, this slope provides decent slope and thermal lift with flexibility for both west and east winds. Drive up access via the cul-de-sac at Oakview Way is sometimes available depending on if the gate is open. Otherwise, park in the lot at Creekside Elementary School on Springhurst Drive and make the hike up the west side of the hill following the trail. The recovery can be a bit rough with somewhat thick brush on the east side. Slightly easier on the west side. This is a decent slope for learning how to dynamic soar. Very small, rough landing zone suitable for foam only.
