South and South East are better for a Sunday afternoon thermal find than an F3F practise spot due to the shape of the slope (and telephone lines below the slope). SW better all round. Parking limited. Worth scouting the LZ before flying to identify the remnants of woody, scraggy thorn bushes about. Great slope for learners - retrival possible on a land-out, rarely any people - just a few sheep to watch out for.
